I couldn’t afford to buy gear when I was in college, so I’d go down to Pianos ‘n Stuff and rent the 707, a D-10, and a tascam 4 track. One summer afternoon, my Dad asked me to take my brother to baseball practice on my way to rent the drum machine. On the way, we stopped to get gas, and my brother ran over to the 7-11 to get something, (I don’t remember what).I was so obsessed with the damn drum machine that I just pumped the gas and took off without him. He had to walk a couple miles to practice. I don’t deserve the giveaway, but I’m still obsessed with my drum machines, so please throw a code my way. Thanks.
I lie the look of it.Reminds me of my old TR707 Drum Machine that I had many years ago!!!
give one to me for a chance* to win a Dave Smith Instruments Tempest :)
* no chance ;-]
I wrote to Jimmy Saville in the 80′s asking if he could fix it for me to get a 707 but he never did. I’d write to him again now asking for one of these but alas now he is gone. Maybe you could fix it for me?
I could seriously use one of these on my iPad while I’m out in the field recording with my Blue Snowball. A drum machine would come in handy like crazy!
It looks great. Hope i’ll can add to my apps arsenal and use x my music production
A vintage drum machine right on my iPad would be awesome. This one might be the kit I’m still missing.
I’d like to add the mR-7070 to your mobile studio to use it for my nieces, who have everything in their band but a drum machine (or a drummer).
I used to own a 707, the only genuine Roland machine I ever owned, I kindly lent it to a friend who never returned it, grrrrrrr! Winning the mR-707 would be justice, and would certainly help to bring me some closure. :-) (this is a true story!) :-(
I would love to own this so I can bring myself back to the eighties with some awesome beats!
I would love to have this in my mobile set up it looks so retro cool i just want to make sweet retro beats with it…..
… because I want play with.
I use an iPad a lot in the studio and live, so I think the mobileRhythm mR-7070 app will be a great weapon to add to my arsenal
I don’t currently have a mobile studio, but I’d love to start building one up.
I want it so I can make phat beats!
Actually to learn better drum programming and to get my groove on.
I used to have a KR-55 just like the Cabs… hehehe. I never liked the white color of the Rolands or the typewiter look of the Alesis, but maybe I`m mistaken. I would like to check it now.
When the creative energy is flowing and everything lines up just right That’s at the point where I’m missing is a good and trusty drummachine that works the way You want it to work and sound much better than the others.
I’ve fallen in love with the plastic, retro style of the UI. Besides, how else will I be able to create that classic Run-DMC rock box sound?
I wanna see what I can do with this on stage… Pretty please :)
I’ve had my time with my only drum app iElectribe and want to delve into the old school sounds of the 80s. I’ve come to appreciate these old school beat machines like the 707 and don’t have the money for the real thing, so this would really make my day. If Im fortunate, I plan on making an iPad only album using only the 707 for drums. The new trend is old school, and I want that to be my sound.
Well, I am a drummer in my free time, and passioned about music and rhythm creation. I like to discover new sounds and beats using my iPhone and iPad, so this app would be a great addition to my library!
Why? Because The a707 will go great with my audio apps. I will be able to put it to full use recording an album on ios that will be the best expression of DIY and bring world peace and signal the end of corporate label monopoly on musical expression. MUSIC TO THE MASSES!!!!
I need a good drum machine on the iPad. I’m down to just this for my production, and none of the others have cut it for me. A 707 on iOS would be killer!
Great, i Like classic Sounds..
A 7070 machine, the James Bond of drum boxes.
I’d like to add this App to my “arsenal” because it features MIDI I/O, and this means I can use it as an external instruments in Logic on my Mac.
mR-7070 looks like some classic beatboxing fun! Thanks for donating the promo codes, Malcolm.
Would be a lovely addition to my mobile studio. Looks briliant to me!
I’m really in love with some kind of a vintage stylish apps, especially cause i use it to make my powerpopelectroway music. That’s what i want!
I’d like to hear if it sounds as good as it looks.
Hello,
i like beatboxes & drum machines. and it looks very very good.
i’m interested in this drum machine and the 606 he’s developed! look awesome!
The TR707 was my first drum machine and has been a standard in my rig for many years. I am so excited about a super cool iOS version to play around with on the bus, train and waiting rooms, (and of course recording etc)
…Because I’m getting a brand new iPad 2 for Christmas and I’ve already spent a fortune on apps. A fantastic retro drum machine – to my ever increasing collection of music apps – wouldn’t go amiss!!
