  1. I have not only read the features… I have read the comments below them.

The looping sequencer idea is fantastic, but it should have been included in the more expensive ipad version first in my opinion. I, as a buyer was put off by this. Addictive is a decent synth, but the sound pallette of it, is, well, limited from my tweaking. Would i purchase the addictive iphone version, sure…eventually, when it goes for 99cents …devs are getting a little corporate here and there. I think that the big sound companies are about to enter the app market and drive it higher and higher until we are paying hundreds for apps again…lol.

Versus sunrizer, samplewiz, ims20, and animoog…addictive is a little on the plain side.

So once again…adding the four track looping sequencer awesome idea, may even get me back to using the app. Additional charges for iphone…blah whatever, its code…its not worth lots of money, it isnt built of parts and doesnt take factory size employment schemes. It is a music app, it sells itself and it takes just a handful of people to keep the code clean and develop new ideas for it. Apps are never going to be worth more than 50 bucks, in my honest opinion…if I pay that much I am starting to get into the world of the daw or hardware and thusly would rather have that as it is more dedicated, i can put my hands on it, or it is hugely more powerful.

You got balls when you put out a synth for 10 bucks and apple puts out garageband for 5 lmao
Its actually pathetic. There is no comparison…gb is much more capable, has way more features, but yet it costs twice as much for the synth hahahahahaha.

You dont have to ut me in the running for a free copy, I refuse to kiss ass to save 3 bucks.
Addictive needs a better gui…cuz to me the one it has is confusing and ugly.
Addictive needed to have a sequencer as does all ios synths, its really a matter of survival, not so much a matter of giving the people what they want…its getting competitive in the app field, and a few companies havent entered yet…having a sequencer benefits the makers more than the users.

Ios5 and an ipad2 are far more capable than what many apps offer at this time. I ran huge acid pro projects, and giant reason wire ups long ago on computers far dated in comparison to the power of my ipad2…just to believe the old profit off every tier of development scheme… The crap we are using on the ipad2 is not even close to what is possible. In a few years suddenly they will emerge, you’ll see. If rectools can support unlimited tracks, why can garageband only support eight tracks period? Dumb. Meteor has plug in effects and instruments, where are they on garageband? No midi editing on garageband…nanostudio and beatmaker2 has more than you can imagine? If folks would stop and think about it…things arent adding up. Maybe its just me…hahaha

Anyways addictive synth is cool, its just not the be all end all. Is it worth 10bucks, sure, if you like how it sounds!

Hope my opinion helps consumers and devs
    Good day to all

  2. I think part of the issue is that the iPhone version has more features (the 4-track recorder) than the iPad version, with no word from VirSyn as to whether the iPad version will be updated with the same features.

  3. I’m not sure I understand the issue here?? They have released an iPhone version of Addictive Synth, this is great! Another great synth for the iPhone. It’s priced about right in comparison. Okay they have included a new phrase looper. I’m sure we’ll see an update for the iPad version soon to include the same functionality.

    1. I agree with James. An iPhone version of Addictive synth with a 4 track loop player added and for 2,99$? That is brilliant. Hope they will add virtual midi to both version and, like James, that they will update the iPad version with the same functionality.

BTW: Grab it while you can. Intro prices do not last for ever. I got my iPad version for 4,99$. Now it is 9,99$

An even at highest prices, just think what a VST version would cost? Prob 10 times as much or much more.

      Chill

    2. The issue is what I enumerated in my very first post — what are the differences between the synths other than price and a phrase looper? UI? Better/worse polyphony on particular devices?

And while we’re stating how sure we are about seeing an iPad update soon, we’ve been burned before — BeatMaker 2 took a ridiculously long time, and as for Nano Studio… well, I feel sorry for the folks that were sure an iPad version is ‘coming soon.’

I agree that a $3 synth is a good thing for an iPhone owner. As an iPad *and* iPhone owner, should I expect a universal app? Should I pony up $3 and $10 for both versions and just ‘chill’ having full faith that the dev’s vision aligns with my needs? Is asking specific questions verboten because the apps are cheap and we’re not dropping $500 on NI Komplete 8 here? I’m posing sincere questions here and not being glib.

I/we simply want to know about a general product roadmap/timeline. It’s not a problem for me since I simply won’t spend the $ until the developer clarifies or I read enough user reviews.

      1. If developers just released $10 universal apps then I doubt those that just have an iPhone would want to pay that. I think splitting them out to make the iPhone version more affordable is the way to go. It means iPhone users can grab it at the right price, and iPad users can have a cheap upgrade to get both versions. This isn’t anything new. Many devs have taken this view…NLog, Sunrizer, FL Studio

  4. I’m in full agreeance with both of you, though virsyn makes quality apps, who do they think they are dealing with here?

  5. I’m confused, this is the new game of developers?
    I don’t like it.

    1. I’m not sure I like it either.

  6. So is this just an iPhone version of their iPad synth? Or is it based on the iPad synth but with a phrase looper but iPhone-only? I’m confused — why would I pay 9.99 for addictive when I can get addictive mini for 2.99 with a phrase looper… simply to have a native iPad interface?
