Addictive Synth (iPad)
Addictive Synth is a dynamic wavetable synthesizer for the iPad. It was never so easy to create beautiful sounds and driving loops. The unique dynamic wavetable synthesis allows you to explore an unprecedented wide range of sonic territory. From acid loops, crystal clear percussions, realistic human choirs to complex musical soundscapes nothing seems impossible with only a handful parameters to tweak.
Together with the intelligent randomizer for both sounds and arpeggios you will loose any sense of time and space while exploring unknown sonic territories. Right from the beginning you’ll understand why it’s named Addictive.
With the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit you can use a CoreMIDI compatible MIDI Keyboard to control Addictive Synth.

Dynamic wavetable synthesizer:
- Six dynamic wavetable oscillators per voice, up to 48 total.
- Continous morphing between two oscillator sets.
- Realtime editing of up to 128 partials (overtones).
- Realtime editing of filter structure to create arbitrary body resonances.
- Extensive modulation possibilities using up to 4 LFOs and 4 Envelopes.
- Control matrix allows real time control of five parameters using the X/Y touch pad, the modulation wheel and the tilt sensors of the iPad.
- Monophonic or polyphonic with 8 voices.
- 128 factory presets, unlimited user presets can be shared.
- Up to three effects concurrently usable selected from: equalizer, phaser, flanger, chorus and stereo/cross delay.

- Play melodies live with the onscreen keyboard. Drag fingers for slides and vibrato.

- Uses programmable sequences with up to 32 steps.

VirSyn have been busy. I bought their ISynPoly not long ago. Looking forward to this too.
All these great full-featured synths for iPad! Gotta love it!
My friend bought Addictive Synth; I just got Sunrizer. We’ll be doing a “face-off” soon and check the differences. Read a bunch of reviews on both and it looks like both are really great synths…only different! (maybe I need BOTH!)
I’ve only worked with it for a few hours, but this seems to be right up there with Sunrizer on my list of favorite iPad synths. It’s very deep, and the randomizer is far more interesting than I would have suspected. There’s some nice real-time control available, and the arpeggiator is also better than most.
Wow, the specs look great, although I am very happy with my last softsynth Horizon, err SunRizer I mean, I will add Addictive to my wishlist and wait till my economy gets in better shape. For me the main thing is to be able to save the new presets and also the control matrix and the morphing… can’t stop drooling. ;¬)

Looks beefy. Hope it is as easy to use for newbs as the maker promises!
I like the power of iSyn Poly, but find myself going back to Sunrizer for the sounds. But this is something genuinely new for the iOS platform. So far the closest thing to it (for iOS again) is probably Synthtronica. A difference being that Addictive is coming out with CoreMIDI and audio copy/paste support already in place.

This is one seriously cool synth. It’s completely different to anything else available on the iPad. You can make some really cool evolving pads with this. The arpeggiator is seriously cool too. Just buy it you won’t it! And yes, it is very addictive ;)
