  1. Bendy, we have for months now publicly stated that 30-pin support is coming in the next AmpliTube update, which is now very close. We monitor all developments on iOS closely, as well as enjoy a close relationship with Apple. We are aware of Audiobus, however, I’m sure you can see why it would be foolish for us to commit to an opinion one way or another regarding support for a 3rd party developer’s still unfinished app. The development path we take carefully considers what is best long-term for our products and our users. We do not make critical development decisions based on a whim or a rumor.

  2. I could not agree more A. Norton

In this day and age to promise a feature that they have deliberately crippled, that renders their product so far behind the competition really is astonishing.
The app is also not universal.

I never use the app any more, I would suggest jamup or ampkit+ (my fave) or even GarageBand that is pretty good.

With the advent of audiobus on the horizon as well IK will never get there. Jamup have signed up right away.

Also I am surprised fend have not added their weight as it reflects badly on them.

If the 30 pin where active they would romp home. Without it, it is little more than a poor toy

Tone is king to a guitarist

  3. Excellent sounds and looks, particularly the Fender amps, and I like the mastering features in the 8 track recorder (iPad version), BUT the app is seriously lacking in ways to share audio as well as no support for interfaces and microphones that use the 30 pin dock connector; additionally, there is a serious track bleed/crosstalk problem with the 8 track recorder, even when using the AmpKit LiNK interface, which virtually eliminates crosstalk in other apps. IK Multimedia have been promising their forum members an update to address these issues for the better part of 2 years with vague statements that have, so far, been nothing but electronic vapor. AmpKit has consistently listened to and provided for its customers and the app sounds great and is compatible with all interfaces. If I had it all to do over, I wouldn’t have purchased the AmpliTube app or the iRig interface.
