My guess is that this version of Auria is set to become the preferred version for using with audiobus (when it is eventually implemented) as the full version is way too CPU hungry to work very well with audiobus and multiple apps.
This version shouldn’t really use less CPU then the full version since they’re exactly the same when it comes to the code base (audio engine, gfx engine etc). This one just got some features disabled that doesn’t use any extra CPU in the full version (unless they’re used of course).
The fact that you can’t freeze tracks with the LE version might mean that it is actually more cpu intensive in some instances!
I agree. Without freezing the tracks, this will be much worse than the full version. I was actually hopeful to try this on my iPad first gen. until I read the freeze option was disabled. My primary use would have been using jamup pro as a plugin native to Auria and than freezing each track after recording. Now this doesn’t seem to be possible…so I guess I will just keep using audiobus and copy and paste instead.
