I like it….too bad its not universal or hd for my ipad….so its fuzzy looking
But the sound is good so im keeping it
3 bux…awesome
Please update the app to universal tho
i don’t own an ipad, so i couldn’t care less. universal is nice, but if i ever do end up with an ipad, i’d be more than happy to spend another 3 bucks on this app. cassini sounds seriously killer, even up against almost all of my hardware. i may finally have a reason to buy a midi interface for my iphone.
cassini sounds drastically different than argon. argon doesn’t have the extra wave shaping that Cassini does, and the effects are also different. argon is mono, Cassini is polyphonic with voice number options.
Coming from the developer of Xenon, I’m surprised that this app is not universal…
Why not? Is it just a case of sloppy programming, or it just doesn’t offer anything more substantial than Xenon for iPad already does..?
Pretty much. It has a few more cool features. The arp section is a little easier to get to. The chord mapper is good as well. I like the new look that ice gear is trying to do. Just wonder what might be next.
While this does seem like a update to argon I hope that it’s more then a cash grab and he has more tricks up his sleeve. I look forward to moe this dev has to offer. Maybe this was just a side project he was working in while getting some work done for a major company. Who knows. A valiant effort again. Worth it to buy. If you like argon this will be similar.
Thanks, I just bought it! I must say I prefer this UI over their others, and it’s really well laid out. I haven’t really used it yet but it sounds great.
I have one problem so far maybe someone can help.. In the main keyboard can anyone see where you change the octave of the keyboard? It seems there is no way to change it.
Thats sadd Leslie you wont find a better synth other than Alchemy on the iphone4 I have them both Good app for the money, sorry Ipad guys you gotta wait for an update for it to be optimized probably. Until then I will bounce all kinda crap to that audio paste file, and keep sampling my own sounds. And no its not a reskinned argon I got that one too, major differences if you dont own it I say you should with the synthstation, midi line6 or IRiG, DAW (logic pro) , a couple of plugins (camel audio) and master that.
This little guy is awesome! Sounds are really nice and warm, comparable to Animoog but on an easy to program old skool interface. They need to make a universal version but works just fine in x2 mode, actually even better because of the key size. (at least for me) I have it loaded on my IPad 2 and IPhone 4 and was able to trigger both from Logic Pro in seconds. I really nice app from this developer!

No Universal or HD iPad version = no purchase, sorry but I’m sick and tired of one platform only apps… :(

To change the main keyboard octave position you swipe left and right just below the keys
