Alex Mattheu has provided details on what to expect in the next update (v1.03) of GlitchBreaks – his iOS Universal manipulation tool that let’s you “glitch” and manipulate beats to create and record new beats. Highlights will include 20 new sounds from Sunsine Audio, sample trigger pads now work with quantise, re-trigger of sample pads, and sample audio preview in the file browser. The update also includes a number of optimisations.

I submitted this to Apple this morning, also one more change to add to the list.
I removed the BPM restriction, since I improved the performance quite a lot, it didn’t make sense to try to guess the limit by taking the lowest common denominator. Yes you can still hit some performance issues on a 3rd Gen iPod touch, but having testers on the team with that device led to some great leaps in performance overall, I know iPad 2/3 guys never felt the performance crunch, but at least the battery life will be better for those long beat glitching sessions.
Oh and by the way, while it is waiting for review it is on sale 20% off.

Great work Alex. Full credit to you for the amount of effort you have put into this superb app. The Sunshine audio sounds are a bonus too. Thanks.
Solid App. It does what it says and I’m confident in the future with such a commited dev!
Thank you Alex!
