Coming Soon: More Information About Grain Science for iPad
Date Added: Nov 25, 2011
25 November 2011:
Wooji Juice have added a new product page for the upcoming Grain Science (working title) which provides a little more information about what we can expect.
“Grain Science has been designed for musicians, soundscape artists and SFX engineers who have outgrown our Sylo Synthesiser, Grain Science is built on similar principles of granular synthesis, but is vastly more powerful.”
The app is still under development, but here are the top 5 features:
Completely rewritten grain engine means more polyphony/voices, and 2 grain units per voice, with a choice of modes to blend the grain units together to create richly-textured sounds
Upgraded FX chain allows you to configure the FX units you want, in the order you desire, with a wider selection of FX units to choose from!
LFOs, LFOs and more LFOs: Nearly every dial in the system can be set to oscillate or otherwise time-vary. This is only one bullet-point, but it really ought to be dozens, because this pours so much power into the synth!
Arpeggiator with chord and programmable step-sequence modes
Control mapper: assign parameters to XY pads and mod wheels for easy access while performing
