Coming Soon: More NanoStudio v1.3 Update Details + Desktop Version Now Available

20 November 2011:

Blip Interactive have provided more details of the new features coming in version 1.3 of NanoStudio – their popular music studio app. As well as NanoStudio becoming a universal app, they have added the ability to set different keyboard scales (Pentatonic, Dorian etc.), added Mute/Solo switches in the mixer, and more.

We are told that the update should be ready for submission to the App Store by the 1st of December.

What’s New:

  • NanoStudio is now a universal app
  • Different keyboard scales (Pentatonic, Dorian, etc.)
  • Ability to slide the keyboard by fractions of a note rather than just a whole octave at a time
  • Mixer mute/solo
  • Double tap on mixer channel title to go to instrument
  • Double tap on ‘centre zero’ knobs to return to centre
  • Song editor can zoom vertically

Updated: The NanoStudio V1.3 alpha-1 for Windows and Mac is now available so you can see how the new interface will look on both iPhone & iPad. Download: Windows | Mac OS X

  1. The user interface and workflow though is years ahead of the rest of the pack. It’s a joy to use and of the 40+ music apps I have, the one that I use more than any others. Easily best money I’ve spent on a music app, maybe on any app.

  2. Maybe next years update will have Virtual MIDI! This app seems to run about a year behind the rest…. Just now a Universal app? Wow…..
