Coming Soon: Sunvox v1.7 Adds Realtime Recording & Virtual Analog Generator!

Alexander Zolotov has released two videos showcasing the new features coming to version 1.7 of SunVox – his pattern based sequencer (tracker) with modular synthesizers for the iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch. The update will include real-time recording/sequencing and an alias free virtual analogue generator. We’ll let you know as soon as the update is available.

Real-time recording/Sequencing: Record of any types of sound events (notes, Touch Theremin, controllers changing).

Virtual Analog Generator: 32 double alias-free oscillators with internal 12/24dB filters; exponential envelopes; smooth parameters changing.

    1. Great news, thanks. Tried this update on my PC and it sounds great so looking forward to running this on the iPad :-)

  1. Yes… finally realtime record!

Otherwise I’m in love with the audio engine, it’s a infinite modular synth.
(not very fond of the tracker SEQ)

I don’t use it to make songs , but usually just use one pattern and create movin, dynamic soundscapes.

Many thanks for a awesome app the just keeps growing!!

  2. Agree, this is cool, I LOVE Sunvox but the tracker thing slows things down, it’s amazing how much is in this app and it’s soooo deep and the samples are great, Alex is a great guy committed to his apps and is definatly a gentleman of a Dev
    Great news!

  3. I agree. This changes everything! Not only is Sunvox going to be able to multitrack w/ a plethora of realtime effects whose controllers’ settings are recordable, but it also plays well with others and supports every major os platform! Great job, Alex! I’m really enjoying the beta and look forward to the iOS version!

  4. I think this is a game-changing update for SunVox!

What have kept me away from using SunVox has been the lack of realtime recording support. I just can’t stand entering the notes by hand on a tracker grid, it’s too tedious and uninspiring. With this update it will be possible to record the live performance (notes, chords and controller automation) directly to the grid, which I think will feel more natural for many people. And remember that you can control SunVox instruments with other Apps via Virtual MIDI (StepPolyArp, ThumbJam… the possibilities are endless).

The anti-aliased analog generator it’s a great addition too!

    Looking forward to the update!
