Pulse Code have provided details of what to expect in the next major update of Rhythm Studio. New features will include two new synths – Phoenix and FM-3 – as well as Wireless Sync-Start Technology (WIST).
Phoenix Synth:
The Phoenix Synth emulates the sought after SuperSaw sound. Along with the famous SuperSaw oscillator, there is a combo Low Pass / High Pass resonant filter. Extreme filter sweeps!
FM-3 Synth:
The FM-3 has the classic shimmering FM sound, with 3 Operators with 4 algorithms to choose from. Feedback on each operator turns this into one beast of a noise machine!
Rhythm Studio is a must have app for musicians! It is a premier universal electronic music making app, boasting richly detailed graphics and incredible sound, with impeccable recreations of classic synths and drum machines along with other amazing studio hardware.
Rhythm Studio is a workspace style app with a studio of realistic electronic music instruments. Rhythm Studio balances advanced features by using an easy to understand interface resembling real instruments. This means that one button does one thing just like it would with real hardware. Knobs turn, switches slide, and buttons press. You won’t get lost in abstract interfaces or design.
Rhythm Studio is the next best thing to having the real hardware. It currently includes full TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines, a 2 Oscillator VA Synth, a TB-303 synthesizer, a sample based synthesizer, a subtractive synthesizer, an XY style control pad, and 4-channel mixer with FX.

Wow, great news! I love RhythmStudio!
Yes! This is cool as FU_K. The next update will be awesome. I hope they can work out a way to use more slots at once though. It’s already too hard to choose only four machines out of the ones we have now. With the iPad we need at least 6-8 to put in each song. I don’t know about the phone since I don’t own one to know how the interface looks with the current set up. Shouldn’t be too much difference though. With the more powerful processor in the iPads and 4s hope that pulse can do this for us.
It really is a great app. Usually found for less then a $1 and always gets BIG updates. It’s stable and sounds great with many different synth/bass/drum machines already on tap. This is one of those apps you should always keep on hand just for the update days when you goto the AppStore and see what goodies you are going to get. These aren’t once every six month bug fixes. These are “change the app” IAP worthy additions that the developer builds into these updates. Don’t pass this app up. If you make any type of mobile music or want to start this should be on your list of “what to buy first”.
I couldn’t say anymore freesoul
Wow! This app has really come a long way with constant updates and content. I love the look of the new FM synth it looks like the OP-1.
