Elephantcandy Release LiveFX – A DJ Effects Kit for iPad (Includes AudioBus Effects Slot Support)!

Elephantcandy have released LiveFX – a Dynamic Effects Processor for iPad that can process live sound input, music from your devices iTunes library or use the Audiobus effects slot to stream audio from other apps through LiveFX.

“Create your own combination of audio effects, and simultaneously control up to four effects using a single fingertip (over 1000 possible combinations) or use multi-touch for automated dynamic sound effects. Elephantcandy takes dance music a step further using the iPad and smart, ultra interactive, software. This will create a whole new range of possible sounds and ways for the DJ/music scene to explore their creativity. An iPad with LiveFX becomes an instrument with no limits.”

NOTE: In this free version you are limited to three built-in tracks. Audiobus and live input will work but with a limited time slot. Through in app purchase (currently $8.99) you will be able to remove all limitations.

  1. I bought it but it doesnt work in the middle slot of audiobus
its wery frustrating, thats the only reason I bought it
    hope they fix it soon,
or if its an audiobus problem maybe?

    1. its working now, update :)

  2. This is fun and easy to use and you can get some innovative moving effects going. Ive been trying out the free version in the effects slot of Audiobus, but be aware that to use it for real, you need to upgrade for £5.99 or the dollar equivalent. Seems to work fine on my ipad2. Quality of the effects is generally very usable although not top quality and the reverb is not as smooth as it could be.

  3. Same here.

I’m angry at first, but after some seconds, i think it is their problem. They loose customers (because yes, this pseudo-free app is payware to really use it). If the concept work, some devs will do the same with full compatibility.
For now, seeing comments on iStore…i don’t miss this app BTW ;)

You want a real killer totally free app ?
Try WEJAAM, look vids and manual on their website :

  4. Why do app developers do this? Why no iOS 5 support? is it really that difficult to make it compatible in both 5 and 6?

iOS 7 isn’t out yet… And therefore ios 5 is still very much relevant.. Please don’t alienate those of us still on iOS 5.1!!!

  5. What a pity that it does not support ios 5.1.
