Luftrum has released “Luftrum 8″ – a new soundset for Animoog with 64 new presets covering a broad range of genres from Ambient to Dubstep with smooth ambient pads, wobbly basses, subtle drones, rhythmic sequences and organic sound effects such as a true budgie tweet, the hypnotic song of whales and the natural purr of a cat.
But it’s not all zoo! The soundset contains plenty of non-animal presets, in the realm of sounds not before heard from the Animoog sound engine. Listen to the audio demo of the soundset on YouTube. No external effects or sequencing were used – just pure Animoog played directly on the iPad…
Luftrum 8 is compatible with both the iPad and iPhone version of Animoog and there’s an easy 3-step install instruction included explaining how to get the sounds onto your device.
The Luftrum 8 soundset for Animoog is priced at $19 USD. For more information visit luftrum.com.

Having bought third party banks for VST instruments before, $19 is actually quite cheap. The problem is that the App market is not like any other software. The economics are all messed up so it seems like the bank is expensive in comparison (I mean a Moog software synth for only $0.99 is just ridiculous!).
A lot of work can go into creating a bank of patches that are properly designed and usable. Quite often the banks that ship with a synth are designed to show it off and are usually not very usable in your music (take the Moog Little Phatty factory bank for a prime example) so it’s important to see third party content.
Yes you can design your own sounds but not everyone wants to (or is capable of). Some people just want to make music and like to tweak presets to create something unique, not create sounds from scratch.
Although I won’t be buying it myself as I do like to create from scratch I do welcome third party banks, and I think it’s another positive sign that the iPad is being taken as a serious music production device.
Yeah, $19 for 64 patches and for app that was $1 when I have purchased it, is more than overpriced.
Also half of those patches can be easily recreated by using randomizer in AniMoog ;)
Is it just me or this is an overpriced package offering presets at the cost of you not finding the joy of programming the animoog on your own… Seriously am I missing something here?…confused!…
Can i get this presets on my animoog app installed on my unjailbroken ipad?
i cannot see yet the way to do it.
Thx
I find the way but i can live without that ))))
