  1. I don’t understand IK’s obsession with the headphone jack. The noise and crosstalk inherent with that input is unbearable. Why would anyone plug a high end microphone into the headphone jack?

    1. I don’t understand it either. Hopefully apogee keeps coming out with the usb iOS products.

  2. Nice to see an elegant solution to the connectivity issues for ios and specifically for the iPhone 4, but nowhere does it say that one can now record in stereo…will this pre somehow fix that issue…or is it a question of the iPhone 4′s native electronics? Would be nice to have my iPhone 4 as a means of doing binaural field recordings

    1. Any microphone you use to record is done in Mono, unless you have two together to record in true stereo or are using a mic with two capsules on it in XY configuration for true stereo. We have recorded a nice video going over it a bit more in depth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mb5MehUHHw
