Alesis have announced that they will provide an iO Dock Adapter for iPad 2 free of charge to those that have received the earlier units that were despatched without without the iPad 2 adapter.
The iO Dock is fully certified by Apple to work with both iPad and iPad 2. As soon as iPad 2 was announced, Alesis began designing a fitted insert for iO Dock that perfectly conforms to iPad 2’s thinner profile.
Due to overwhelming demand, Alesis wanted to get the iO Dock into as many customers hands as possible, as quickly as possible. As a result, a small number of iO Docks were shipped without the iPad 2 insert in the box.
If your iO Dock did not include an iPad 2 insert in the box, simply fill out this form and an insert will be shipped to you free of charge.

If anyone’s looking to buy one of the iO Docks, I’d strongly recommend holding off until the noise issues are addressed.

I’ve been waiting over two weeks for my adapter and haven’t received any acknowledgement of or reply to my inquiries sent to Alesis. If you have Ipad 2 and they don’t have the adapter at your retailer, I’d suggest doing something better with your $200, like throw it in a river and watch it float.
