Korg have released significant updates to their line of iOS music apps including iMS-20, iELECTRIBE, iELECTRIBE Gorillaz Edition, iKaossilator and iPolysix. The updates add (for all apps) support for AudioBus, Virtual MIDI (not yet implemented for iKaossilator), Background Audio, and iCloud data backup. Furthermore, iMS-20 and iELECTRIBE have benefited from new Retina graphics, iPolysix now supports parameter control via MIDI, iKaossilator now supports the iPhone 5′s four-inch display, and iELECTRIBE now has a new function called “Beat Flutter” which allows you to vary rhythm patterns real timely and randomly for live performance by stroking pad.
Don’t forget, if you don’t own any of these apps yet, they are all currently half price for a limited time!

No luck with virtual midi. Anybody sorted out how to send midi from BM2 to ipolysix?
Very nice move from KORG.Even if they got a “special” way of making audio apps on iOS, they are fast when they want to go in a direction ;)
A great update. Esp. useful to have data backup to iCloud in addition to all the other good things.

Amazing update from Korg! Thanks!
But, still no selectable MIDI channel? And why the apps don’t expose themselves as an independent MIDI device (as NLog or MoDrum do…) for more fine grained MIDI routing?
And why aren’t there more apps that take advantage of this feature? For example, SunVox lets you specify which App AND Port a module sends its MIDI output to, but other MIDI sequencing apps like Beatmaker or Genome only allow you to select the Port, but not the App, per module.
Check this thread if the KORG apps are not appearing in your Audiobus Input list:
