luanna is an audio-visual application designed for the iPad that allows you to create and control music through the manipulation of moving images. It has been designed to be visually simple and intuitive, whilst retaining a set of rich and comprehensive functions.
Through hand gestures you can touch, tap and manipulate the image, as if you were touching the sound. The image changes dynamically with your hand movements, engaging you with the iPad’s environment.
The luanna app offers many possibilities to create unique audio-visual designs.

I picked it up yesterday on a whim. I really think the developer should have described this as a “musical art piece”. There is no mention of the artist in the description. That said it is enjoyable to play with and routed some of the sounds into Logic today, but now hearing that it is another artists sounds, well it really makes it of no use. I am hopeful that the developer allows removing the sounds and replacing them with my own samples. I agree with Pat that this would be a fantastic addition, or compliment to TC-11 as well as other apps.
Well,seems really cool
But this seems more designed for a specific artists needs.would be useful if it was supporting Audio Copy/Paste for custom sound samples……and was a lot cheaper
I wish tc11 would add something like this to work with audio samples directly
First of all thank you very much for your interesting in luanna.
To your question regarding loading your own sound samples to the application,
at the moment luanna can only use our sonic artist Manabu Shimada’s sound (www.manabushimada.com).
This is because we initially designed this application as a music artwork of Manabu Shimada.
The price, as you mentioned, was also determined by that point of view, and to be set more or less equivalent to a price for a music that could be bought in our location.
However, as we have already hearing numerous requests of the functional update, we are considering of extending or redesigning the application to a user interface of a kind in later date.
For more details regarding luanna such as the manual and information about us,
will appreciate it if you could visit our web site as below.

Again thank you very much for your interest in luanna.

Why is this so expensive? For that much, I would expect to not have to ask whether one can load their own samples or not… And would expect a manual or some more information.
Can one load one’s own samples? Thanks.
