MegaCurtis is the successor to the now free Curtis Heavy – Granular Synthesizer. It has been completely rewritten for better performance, longer recording time, session recording, polyphony, high-res display and more!
Granular synthesis works by combining many tiny grains of sound from an existing recording, generally creating new sounds with the textural properties of the original.
Granular synthesis allows you to regenerate the recording, playing it forward or backward at any speed, to skip around the recording playing tiny slices of it at random, or to loop a small portion with a varying loop size.

Yes that worked – thanks! I’m quite amused that I need to use a Windows PC to access iTunes and buy something for my iPhone/iPad. I wonder what Apple would say!
Strange – this isn’t recognised in the app store and it does even appear on the developers page under its product list!
Yes, some people seem to be having trouble. Try using your computer and clicking through from this page. That seemed to work for others. Alex

Sounds great. I saw the Strange Agency tweet the AppStore link but it was a dead link at the time. I tried a few times later in the evening and nothing. Even this morning nothing in the USA AppStore…wonder if a bug caused a retraction or maybe the announcement was premature based on “should be in store” emails from apple to developer.
Either way the video demos look and sound good and I could use this sound in my latest track. Hope it gets to the app store soon!
