I really like the Multitrack DAW on my Ipad. I did some Radio Station Imaging on it and had a lot of fun doing so. I would love to cut my workflow in half though. Nothing wrong necessarily, because i know there’s room to grow.
Just thought I’d drop a few suggestions.
1. I would love it if there were “volume” adjustments to each element independent of the track volume. Or even the option to write the volume desired.
2. More of a variety of different types of fades.
3. Maybe, 1 or 2 more options of “importing/uploading” all elements. The wi-fi is cool, but you can only upload 1 element at a time. I would like to put a lot more stuff on the wi-fi. In addition, it would be cool you could use the wi-fi anywhere.
4. Is there an option for recording from an internet source? News, entertainment. I don’t even know if that’s possible. But, to be able to extract soundbytes for production use off the internet would be great.
5. To be able to move elements not only horizontally, but vertically also across the region/tracks.
6. Maybe, a more detailed “EQ”, “Compression”, and “Processing”.
Will this work in a Android Tablet by Impression?
@Jeff: No, this app is for Apple iOS devices…iPad, iPhone etc.
Thank you James. By any chance to u know of a good one for Android Tablets?
I find this app incredibly frustrating to use, I don’t know why it is the app of the week or why people are raving about it? The Hotbox control hinders workflow rather than speeds up workflow, in fact, tapping the screen to get anything happening on this app near gives me RSI. Sorry but this was $10 I regret spending.
I love that it has:
– so many great effects,
– all the standard import/export functions,
– multitouch support
– so many editing functions,
– option to use ore than 8 tracks!
On top of that it’s universal and has full support for iPad. I want it!;)
some nice features:
- many ways to get audio materials in and out
- Copy/Paste system (from and to other softwares inside iPad!)
- per track EQ and Compressor
- nice Reverb and Delay
- monitorig capabilities
- connection possibility by Camera Connection Kit
- very useful and nice looking GUI – iPad native portrait and landscape mode
congratulations, Péter

It seems to be a very comprehensive DAW. I loved the iPhone version. The iPad version must be better!
When I tried garage band I was limited to 32 bars. Is there a limit on DAW or does it work like a Roland multitrack and give you full recording capabilities within your iPads memory?
It is limited only by the iPads memory. I’ve recorded hour long mono tracks and it didn’t shut down or anything, just worked great. It took a while after hitting stop but that is normal for the app to process the track you’ve just recorded, especially such a long one.
