As they have removed the app completely from the app store I reckon the version 2.0 will be a new app that everyone will have to pay for again :-(
It might be worth contacting them directly. When iOS 5 came out, Hexatone broke too, but I sent them a polite note and they fixed it pretty quickly. I assumed they would fix their other apps, but perhaps no one asked?
I too was slow to pick up on the fact that increasing OS updates totally busted this once awesome app. When it 1st came out and I was an early adopter as it was one of the best/coolest sounding synths at the time… Then I moved onto other apps but always came back to Noise.io for certain sounds until one day it would load up and then just fart noises literally. Talk about a letdown. The devs took it’s name to seriously at that point and just gave up it seems. Now their site claims a “Noise.io 2″ is up-coming. I sure hope so AND I hope we loyal customers that got shafted will get some sort of discount. Otherwise, unless it does some amazing shit or has some really original sounds I’ll stick with apps like Animoog and the ARGON synth or the multitude of great sounding synth apps that are out nowadays. Amidio really dropped the ball and the rest of their apps now look like shite… What a pitiful shame…
Hexatone is also very unique and incredible thing, and thanks to angry Rudess i guess it still works on ios 5
I hope they’ll at least continue pay 100 $ per year to apple otherwise they will be removed from appstore completely

AMIDIO UPDATE YOUR APPS. Your stuff breaks in every major iOS update. People paid good money for this synth so stop makin ukuleles and flutes and update/fix this.

When it came out, it was AWESOME and on of the deepest here..
but Amidio abandoned it.. the problem was that there was not replacement for it…until..until
TC-11 came out!
And tc-11 is much stronger, yeah
AND tc-11 developer is nice guy

but it still works on 4.2.1 iOs

To whom It May concern I bought your Noise IO synth app. It does not work anymore.No audio output. Can I still get support on the app?. I see that you have taken the synth off the market now. What can I do. I spent my hard earned money on your app and it’s not fair that you guys did that, and didn’t think of your user base .I supported your company and now I’m left holding the bag on a synth that does not work. Please do right by me and give me a version that works. Please get back to me and let me know how you will compensate me for my synthesizer. I also own other products that you make. Is that the behavior that is waiting for me with those products too?.
Once innovative, now abandoned. The developer is not a professional.
@Rob me too. Except I bought it a week after I updated so I never got a chance to use it at all. Amidio say they are working on an update though. Maybe we will even get the new noise io they’ve been talking about forever. :).
This app (i own but never use) has potential, but amidio just doesnt make any smooth running app to date, i own a few…. The hold down this to go to this menu is terrible on Noise.io. It makes the app overly complicated, the futuristic interface isnt that at all, if it was truly futuristic it wouldnt be reverse technology and workflow…this generally tend to adapt toward a survival mode…this app doesnt update very often, and may even be outdated and dead. When I move to ios5, i may drop this app permanently. Amidio…please put a usuable interface gui on your app…going to a different screen to choose a patch whilst holding other things is overly intricate for such a basic function. :).
I bought the app a week before my upgrade to IOS5. After the update the app did not work anymore, so if you are on IOS5 it is a waste of money, pitty cause I liked it a lot.
Yep, it has always been full of bugs. Now it’s useless. I’ve never really like the interface anyway so have deleted. Don’t waste your money!
Been using this app since the day it came out. Love this app, so much you can do with it.
