Right Note – Ear Trainer (Universal)
Date Added: Sep 1, 2011
Right Note is an iOS Universal ear training app for learning Interval, pitch and melody recognition. Ever wanted to play by ear or improvise? There are two main skills you need to learn. First is to recognize what you are hearing on the fly. The second is “knowing” your instrument and instinctively playing the right note.

The interval recognition modes helps you recognize the difference in notes, developing your relative pitch skill. The pitch mode teaches you to hear separate notes, developing your absolute pitch skills. The melody dictation mode combines both previous skills and gives you the real test – playing what you hear. Thanks to this you will learn to identify what you are hearing or what you want to improvise.
But what about “knowing” your instrument? Right Note has just what you need as it can recognized notes that you play using the microphone. You can pick up your favorite instrument and use it to answer the questions. This way you can get the hang of where each note is and start playing them instinctively.
Now it’s just as you’d have a personal teacher.
