Sobal Corporation have released Chauliodus – an iOS Universal bassline synthesizer with a built-in sequencer. It also supports Core MIDI (including Virtual MIDI) so you can play Chauliodus from external MIDI devices, external sequencers, and other iOS applications.
It is also possible to change the parameters of the filter by using gyroscope to get interesting effects by shaking the iPhone or iPad. You can also enjoy dubstep wobble bass since LFO rate is synchronized to the tempo, and settable by each step!

Don’t Buy!!!
I bought this and regret.
I hoped for a good bass-generator app and found noise-generator app :(
It produces unusable sound with strong hiss noise in the background.
You can play with midi keyboard in real-time but you can’t control the pattern data with it.
Don’t waste your time or money on it.
Anyone tried this one yet? Sobals more recent apps aren’t available in the Swedish store (and other EU stores I assume) for some reason.
One thing that looks interesting is being able to sequence the LFO rate in the pattern sequencer.
