Trackers are an acquired taste I suppose – one that I have acquired. Once the interface becomes transparent for the user, Sunvox is revealed to be an incredibly deep, flexible – and elegant – tool for composition, sound design and production – an IOS DAW that actually leaves most others in the dust.
(Just watch Zolotov’s aka Nightradio’s own YouTube tutorials, the ones that run 60-120 seconds, talk about transparency, dude is so very fast on his own software that one can see what is possible…)
There should be an option to program on a standard midi note grid a la nano studio/beatmaker 2. Such a great app, but I can’t stand the whole tracker thing.
I agree. It’s sounds are truly top notch, including the effects. The only thing that really holds me back on this is no MIDI cc’s and no count in for recording (in iOS). With these two things added, this would be my favorite app overall.
This app is very impressive…even more when you see how many platforms are supported ;)
Modular synthesis and FX with tracker, and a “little something” very inspiring.
You are not obliged to go in the details to use it, but you will feel you need it :D
A blend of Renoise, Bidule, Usine… on portable devices and on laptop/desktop too.
