This app is excellent. Innovative layout and great sound. Universal version would be great, and as mentioned audio copy and paste. It would be the super shiznit if you could load sessions without stopping the playback, but this app is already frikkin awesome.
For a small developer it is just amazing to build such a solid and feature-full App.
So yes there is still no audio Copy/Paste or background audio but I’m sure it will be added in near future.
I agree, and regret jumping to an early and rather negative conclusion. This app is incredible, even at this early stage, it’s frightening how good this could become! Ignore my initial comments. And as for the comparisons being made with Figure (including my own – I should know better) they are different concepts, aimed at different people anyway. This one is work of genius. Well done Sebastian indeed.
I thought that this app was released with more features than Figure in it’s initial release. While Figure sounds good and will probably lead to a more full, featured app (with an optional FRE store), it’s an amazing groove box. I’m a Reason user and love the Pheads stuff, but I don’t feel like they’ve reached their potential with an IOS app. Actually I feel like Blip Interactive beat them to the punch. But opinions are like….
I have to say I’m not so impressed. The pad response is sluggish making it difficult to get into a groove. The default sounds are uninspiring. It doesn’t really hit the mark for me, where Figure knows exactly what it wants to be, and is like a musical instrument in it’s own right, this falls somewhere in between a groove box and a looper, excelling at neither.
…update, I still have my issues with real time beatmaking, BUT…I have just been playing around with Loop Range, speed and pitch – Awsome! I may have been a little harsh in my criticism. I’m converted…
I cannot describe the awesome goodness that is triqtraq. It’s like ikaossilator with a sequencer and even that is not an accurate description. Just buy it right now.
It is a lot of fun. At first I contemplated not getting it because I thought, “I already have Nanostudio, BM2, Sunvox, and just about everything else.” But there is something I can’t put my finger on that makes this really fun to use. It could be that the effects are really good, or how easy the automation works, or it may be the GUI, or the pitch options (maj, min, w/chords and slide) or something else…
I asked the developer for the following features in the future:
1). Continue Play in the background to jam with live guitar through Jamup pro. 2). Import and export samples via general pasteboard or Audiocopy/Paste. 3). Record and stream to .wav live to catch killer delay changes and groove additions. 4). Could we also get trigger mute to get the stutter effect with automation? 5). Could we add global reverb?
The developer, Sebastian, responded really quickly and helped me figure out how to use Queue mode to record longer sequences and really get deeper into the app. I also recommended adding an automated stutter-like effect by adding a mute-type global button, but then realized that it could also be accomplished already with the level (volume adjustment) per step of the sequencer which would accomplish the same effect.
Overall, great first go for the developer and it is worth getting…

Any news on audio copy/paste yet?

Very well done Sebastian!
