Burgerkone have released version 1.1 of GrainBender – their synthesizer app for the iPad. The update includes CoreMIDI support, the renaming of factory presets for saving as user presets, and a new interface skin.

You now control GrainBender from an external midi source or use GrainBender to control any other midi gear. Automation recorded as bends in GrainBender patches is also sent via midi so you can now apply GrainBender’s unique automation features to all your other midi-capable intruments. Very cool!

GrainBender for iPad is a synthesizer that makes designing new sounds easier than ever before. Just tap the bend button and sculpt your new sound directly in realtime. GrainBender is capable of making a wide range of sounds, from traditional analog favorites to exotic digital effects.
