Fingerlab have released version 1.1 of their drum machine for the iPad – DM1. Highlights include high-quality export to email or iTunes shared folder, pan control, 11 new drum kits with categories, 25 patterns instead of 12, new Resonant Filter and Compressor effects, and an audio background mode. Also, the full complement of FX will now be available on the first generation iPad.

I had some time yesterday with DM1 and hey! it is really a nice sounding app. I was surprised by the emulations of the vintage stuff and the Fx padson my 1st gen iThing. Background audio can be tricky, delay was a little bit dirty, I guess I did hang the thing and had to reset the app but maybe it was my fault: very extreme…. ;D.
I think is worth the price (less than 1 unit coin) and BTW it made miss my old MATTEL drumtoy, bought in London back in 1984 (teardrop’).
