Erik Sigth has released version 1.8 of shapesynth – his polyphonic synthesiser for the iPhone & iPod Touch that allows you to draw the shape of the oscillator waveform. The update includes new MIDI control settings, the ability to add silence in the sequencer, and more.
What’s new
Shape is a polyphonic synthesiser allowing the user to draw the shape of the oscillator waveform. The positive side of the oscillation is represented by 32 blocks and the negative side is its mirror, generating all sorts of possible raw retro sounds. Shape is best experienced with Akai SynthStation25 Keyboard Controller.

Great synth sounds, very retro and has great movement… It really needs multitouch on the keyboard, background audio support, and virtual midi ports to take full advantage of its unique sound…
