White Noise Audio Software have released version 1.0.2 of Genome MIDI Sequencer (GMS) – their pattern based MIDI sequencer for the iPad. The update includes background support and improved CC drawing, as well as other improvements and fixes.

With ‘background’ support, Genome can continue to run in the background while sending midi sequences to other apps like NLogSynth PRO and Sunrizer. Additionally, you can record notes and CC’s from those apps while you play.

What’s new:

• Added background support for sequencing other apps in the background
• Fixed bug with not being able to select pitch bend
• Revamped CC drawing
• Fixed some crash issues when switching between apps
• Fixed import bug with long MIDI file names
• Fixed issue with not being able to record notes in some circumstances
• Init song now resets song name too
• Added ‘open in Genome’ option for MIDI files (you still need to go to the track you want to import to and click ‘import’)
