Update: iControlMIDI Support for DSI Tetra4
Date Added: Feb 7, 2012
iControlMIDI have added support for Dave Smith Instruments Tetra4 to their line of MIDI Control Surface apps, with the release of iTetra4 for iPad.
Leveraging 2 years of experience in designing GUI for control surface and 25+ years of experience in designing synthesizers sounds, we are bringing the best of those experiences to the iPad with iControlMIDI for Dave Smith Instruments Tetra v1.5 main / v1.2 voice, namely iTetra4.
On MacOS X, iTetra4 can only be used with a DAW, not in a stand-alone mode.
NOTE: In the Tetra version above, BPM does not support “Edit Follow”, ARP and SEQ cannot be both put On over MIDI.

Sorry, but this whole iControlMIDI is a bit lost on me! What is so special about this App that we can’t do with other MIDI control Apps on the iPad? Seems a bit expensive for what it does. For a little bit more you can get Lemur, surely the ultimate MIDI control App for iPad. And there are loads of other free/cheap MIDI Apps available these days. What is the big deal with iControlMIDI that warrants the price tag? Am I missing something glaring here?!
