Confusionists have released version 1.3.7 of MIDI Designer Pro – their MIDI controller for the iPad. The update adds support for Virtual MIDI so you can now use MIDI Designer Pro to control your other iPad apps.

Other new features include…

• Snap to Value: Building on snap-to-default, snap to value lets a supercontrol button snap a subcontrol to a certain value in a certain amount of time, or at a fixed rate
• Rolling over buttons reverses state: multiple buttons can be reversed or activated with a single swipe
• Configuring hardware MIDI connections has been completely revamped (along with virtual MIDI endpoints), and several rarely-found defects relating to supercontrols and subcontrols have been fixed

 

 

MIDI Designer allows you to control hardware and software synths, effects, and DAWs (like Live, Cubase, Reaper, Logic) via MIDI. MIDI Designer gives you the knobs, buttons, sliders and X-Y Pads. You design your Control Surface.

MIDI Designer Pro also comes in a fully-functioning Lite version (with limited controls and colors). If you’re unsure as to whether you need Pro, check out the Lite version first.
