AffinityBlue have released version 2.0 of NodeBeat (iPhone) and NodeBeat HD (iPad) – their experimental node-based audio sequencer and generative music application. The update adds support for Core MIDI. NodeBeat is now a MIDI Controller! Send to other iOS MIDI applications (via Virtual MIDI) or to other MIDI receiving applications on your computer. You can send both Node and/or Keyboard MIDI, assign unique MIDI Channels to Generators, and adjust latency for perfect sequence timing.
What’s new:
We previously posted this video showing NodeBeat HD using Virtual MIDI Out ports to play both MoDrum (using the drum generators and nodes) and NLogSynth Pro (using the new keyboard).
Created by Seth Sandler and Justin Windle, NodeBeat is an experimental node-based audio sequencer and generative music application for the iPad.
By combining music and playful exploration, NodeBeat allows anyone to create an exciting variety of rhythmic sequences and ambient melodies in a fun and intuitive fashion. From the professional to the novice, NodeBeat lets anyone explore creative music.
