Music Device Project have released version 3.1 of SAS-2A – their dualphonic virtual analog synthesizer for iPad based on the Oberheim OB-Xa. The update adds iOS 5 compatibility and CoreMIDI support.
What’s new:
The SAS-2A (SAS-1 ver2) is a nostalgic dualphonic virtual analog synthesizer for iPad based on the Oberheim OB-Xa. If you know OB-X operations, SAS-5A is easy to operate. However, the output tone is different from the OBX.

WOW! Well have had a little play round….sweet sounding synth for free with some decent midi implementation – AWESOME! Cant sniff at that. Warning: Manual is unreadable, but the synth is intuitive for any synthesists. 2 polyphony, has delay effect – Lfos can be assigned to filters no problem, midi says it can receive controller messages… That’s what I’ve picked up from a quick 5 minute fiddle. Thumbs up. :)
