Update: shapesynth Version 1.5 Released


24 July 2011:

Erik Sigth has released version 1.5 of shapesynth. The update includes the saving/loading of synth settings and shapes, loading of preset waveforms (sine, square, triangle, and saw), reverse playing/recording, and more.

What’s New:

  • High contrast color scheme, suitable for playing outside in the sun.
  • Save/load synth settings and shapes.
  • Load preset waveforms/shapes (sine, square, triangle and saw).
  • Reverse playing/recording.
  • Change of loop button behaviour. Now switches between setting the loop point and reset to its original 5 minutes length.
  • Mini loop playhead position square.
  • Write tape to file.
  • Set filter amount, drag pong middle line.

 

Erik Sigth shapesynth for iPhone & iPod Touch

Shape is a polyphonic synthesiser allowing the user to draw the shape of the oscillator waveform. The positive side of the oscillation is represented by 32 blocks and the negative side is its mirror, generating all sorts of possible raw retro sounds. Shape is best experienced with Akai SynthStation25 Keyboard Controller.
