If you haven’t seen it yet check out Steinbergs introductory video below…

“Cubasis makes recording, editing and mixing a breeze. Record tracks in CD audio quality, and edit your music with the Key and Sample Editors, while the included mixer and audio effects polish your song to perfection. Cubasis comes loaded with dozens of virtual instrument sounds which can be played in real time using the virtual keyboard and drum pads. Cubasis’ projects can be even opened in Cubase under Windows and OS X! Cubasis places touch-intuitive production tools in your hands, opening up a new world of possibilities for your creativity.”

  1. Can anyone tell me how well this works with audiobus instruments/apps? I have auria which I now dont use as there are audio issues when auria is in the audiobus chain, I get no sounds out of drumjam and others. Am on an Ipad2, reverted to using multitrackdaw. Also if anyone has any thoughts on this vs auria, and if it is worth spending $50 if one has auria and multitrackdaw already. Thanks!

    1. AudioBus works really really well in Cubasis. Open a new input creates a new track named DM, Sunrizer etc., Cubasis is smooth and really nice to work with but it’s not cheap!!

      1. Thanks!
I will see if I can get auria and audiobus working meanwhile, found some tutorials on discchord, and will be watching sales in case this ever drops to $25 ( but maybe im dreaming :)

  2. It has a great workflow and Virtual MIDI implementation but the lack of MIDI Clock Sync means I can’t actually use it with the majority of my gear and apps. I hope they add this soon.

  3. A great Audiobus implementation has really taken this app up a notch – i have lost hours already playing guitar sounds with Guitarism and Thumbjam through JamUp and into Cubase. Still a few issues which I am sure will get resolved, but i’m getting some very usable results with this as it is.
