pblsound have released version 1.2 of textsound – their audio development environment for the iPad. The runtime has now been optimised so you can run, stop and run new files without quitting the app. This gives textsound the flexibility to be used as an on the fly audio programing system. The update also adds more samples.

They have also released a Lite version so you can check textsound out for free!
 

 

textsound allows you to use your iPad for audio development with Pd (aka Pure Data) – a real-time graphical programming environment for audio, video, and graphical processing. With textsound you can write, edit, load, run and test the text of Pd patches. Up to four patches can be run at the same time. You can control your code and save your texts with the predefined interface.
