VocaLive provides singers and vocalists with a suite of 12 real-time professional vocal effects along with a capable recorder for studio-quality sound in a portable package. The effects can be combined into a chain of 4 processors and saved as presets. A collection of up to 50 presets is included to get you up and running immediately.
VocaLive for iPad includes 5 Vocal Effects – Pitch Fix (for tuning correction or stylized quantization FX), Choir (a 3-part harmonizer), Morph (a formant shifter to change the tonal quality of the voice from subtle deepening to radical gender bending) and Double (by registering) – along with 7 Studio Effects – De-Esser, Reverb, Delay, Parametric EQ, Compressor, Chorus, Phazer and Envelope Filter – that together create the perfect vocal processing solution.
VocaLive for iPad gives you the ability to record vocals or other instruments (single or multitrack) with effects and master section, sing along with your favorite iTunes song library (with a Voice Cancel feature for practicing over songs with existing vocals) and warm up your voice with the included Vocal Tools. VocaLive is an incredible professional vocal effects workstation that you can take with you anywhere.
For the best quality, use VocaLive on stage with IK’s iRig Mic. You can also have fun with it or record quick ideas using the built-in iPad mic, or you can use VocaLive with earbuds that have a built-in mic.
With its 12 professional effects, Recorder and Vocal Tools, VocaLive for iPad is the most powerful vocal processing tool available so far on the iPad!

Looks like all of your wants have just been addressed…. digital audio (should now work with the Tascam iU2) and AudioCopyPaste have just been added!
Alex (iDesignSound)
We want audiobus support…please.
+1 for AudioBus!
I just bought the Tascam iU2 and wish to use it on Vocalive. Can this be done?
Is this a great app? Perhaps it could be….
If this market is allowed to emerge we are going to have a whole duffle bag to hold all of our dongles…besides i dont use a dynamic mic for vocals…
Very backward thinking by ik multimedia…i almost guarantee that once you shell out 20 bucks it probably doesnt support anything but their own dongleware. Pathetic and i’ll wait for something better and more open.
Also remember even if you did want to buy irig and this thing and that thing…eventually you are going to have a clutter, as well as a bunch of apps that dont work together at all because of the need of their own dongle as well as the inability to use the dongle of another!
Do not support this mess please.
I’ve been waiting for this to come out for the iPad! I have the iRig Mic but have been using it mainly with improvox which is nice but a bit on the heavy side with the effects. I tried the VocaLive iPhone version but didn’t really like the way you navigate around the app. This looks much better as everything is on one screen.
The only thing that bothers me is not being able to AudioCopy the recordings into other apps…at least I don’t think you can?
Is anyone using VocaLive in their tracks?
For over a year people have begged IK Multimedia to add copy and paste to their apps. They have promised so many times but it ain’t happening. Whatever their reasons are, I am sure it won’t benefit them in the long run. While releasing their “2009″ apps, the rest of the industry (at least the serious devs) are moving to the next level; while copy and paste now is a standard feature of most “pro apps”, they are now heading for implementation of virtual midi. IK will obviously get far behind this development if they continue like this.
While their apps actually seem interesting, I won’t buy any of them until they at least implement copy and paste. So far this seem to mean “never”.
Cheers
If they don’t someone else will and probably soon…?
