Voice Synth (Universal)

Voice Synth is a specialized synthesizer for creative voice sculpting, for endless fun and serious productions. Speak, sing, hum and beatbox in the mic, tweak the controls and turn your voice live into a human from baby to tenor, an autotuned popstar, a robot from Cylon to iDalek, a church or close harmony choir, animals from birds to dogs and lions, musical instruments from organs, guitars and a groovy bass to percussions and rich 70′s vocoders, amazing effects and ambient, lush string/storm soundscapes.

Voice Synth is much more than your average voice changer app. This instrument lets you create and design your own incredible voices and sounds that live, breathe and evolve in real-time as you play. Use the mic and become a true artist by tweaking the controls of the vocoder, sampler, pitch and formant shifter, autotune, multiple voice harmony arranger, equalizer, distortion, delay, chorus and reverb. Voice Synth has easy controls optimized for voice sculpting, so you don’t have to deal with the technical complexity of conventional vocoders or synthesizers.

Design and create improved, bizarre, funny, scary or out-of-this-world voices and sounds. Use them in your music, movies, voice-overs, post-production and live performances, both for fun or serious projects. Voice Synth has a dedicated interface designed for iPad, and a compact interface for iPhone and iPod that includes all features so you can create anywhere you go.

For musicians, DJs, sound designers, voice artists: Voice Synth is a must-have in your audio toolbox. The possibilities are endless, have hours of creativite fun!

  1. I purchased it and I really dont like it. When retuning, there are a lot of cracks und pops. Limited sound-posibilities and awful usability. Well, this is only a little bit more than this stupid cyclone-fun-app.
iVoxel is not perfect, but a lot better than this.

    1. Strange. I experience no cracks and pops on my iPad 2 and manage to get really good sounds out of it by tweaking it to my liking. To each is own, it seems.

  2. I checked out the YouTube demo. Some cool effects. But I heard a lot of audio break up. Can anyone report if this is a problem with the app or just the demo?

  3. Alright, I bought the app, I’ve experimented through my iPhone headset and like it. Now, How can I actually use this ‘live’? Is there a particular hardware match that will work with this so I can use the headset mic and also send the audio out to my mixer/PA? Would a GuitarRig type of interface work? Has anyone had any success with an external microphone for a ‘live’ situation or even to record the audio stream to an external recorder? Thanks.

  4. Thanks Rodi, sorry,.. now I understand it.

Anyone likes to upload some first results from this? I appreciate it a lot.

    1. Theres a video out now and it looks good! it’s on their website

  5. I mailed the developers and they say if there are enough requests they always consider to put it in.

So, please e-mail the developers too at contact@qneo.net

    1. Are there any sound samples or YouTube videos about this app? Can’t found any. There is only one review in the german AppStore witch gives only one star because the quality seems to be very poor.
And anyway: ACP is a must for any professional music-app. The workaround via email is a PITA when dealing with big samples and useless without wifi.

    2. I’ve just sent an email with the feature request.

Here’s the email, ready for copypasting for the lazy ones:

I purchased Voice Synth, yesterday. It is awesome, really. But it would be even more awesome with Background audio + Virtual MIDI / Background MIDI + Audio Copy / Paste!

Please consider adding it for the next release.

      1. Great Jano.
And opcode, the idea about the e-mail workaround is that you don’t need (or even want) to have wifi (or another internet connection), because the not sent e-mail will show up in the mail app if I understand correctly.

      2. Thanks. The audio copy paste and background audio are vital to enable it to be used with tools like nano studio.

  6. There is a workaround with regard to ACP because it can transfer by mail. Just send the file to your own mail-adress. If you are not on a wi-fi, it will show up in the “send” folder. Click the audio file and you be will offered to open it in ACP compatible apps. I can open mine in Samplewiz, Nlog Pro, BeatTwirl, Music Studio and more. From here you can copy and paste it anywhere you like. It is not as fast as direct ACP but it works.

BTW: This app sounds FANTASTIC! The best vocoder for iPad so far, IMO. iVoxel and Voix are fine in their own right, but this is overwhelming. They also have a sweet little “Cyclon Voice” app that also sounds stunning.

    Cheers

    1. Damn, IncarnateX, I never thought of using emails in the sent folder. Doh! Thanks for the tip.

Actually, I think I’ll just forego the whole round trip and pull files from the drafts folder. If this is my “you learn something new every day” moment, I’ll take it. :)

    2. Yes, great tip!!

  7. No Audio Copy Paste or Virtual Midi? Too bad, this looks like what I want, but not without ACP at least.
