We definitely don’t see soundtracks like Ennio Morricone expcept in Quentin Tarantino’s movies. But just to remind you – in 70s and 80 soundtrack could sound like this:
And the evolution of music technology, electronic music genres that are focused on sound and rhythm rather than melody changed soundtrack purpose into textures and rhythms that support picture (which is not a bad thing of course).
